Designer and creative experimenter
My Name is Clemence Grouin-Rigaux and I am a French-born designer and creative experimenter based in London, UK.
I have an academic background in Industrial design and I graduated from MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martins in June 2019.
Thanks to my education and previous work experiences, which both foresaw a collision of science, technology, craftsmanship and design, I developed competences in textile design, knitwear, metal crafting, biomaterial design, mould-making, 3D modelling, ceramics, product, packaging, visual, display, graphic and exhibition design.
I genuinely support shared knowledge, multi-disciplinarity and collaborative design. And more then anything, I believe in concrete stories; especially those that can be told, reinvented and translated through innovative design.
My professional experience sees work for Volkswagen, The Design Museum, London,
Birambeau France, SEPHORA, Macon & Lesquoy, La Prestic Ouiston.
My work has been exhibited during Milan Design Week 2019 at Ventura futures, Central Saint Martins University, 100% Design in Olympia, London in October 2019 part of Material Driven team and Design Fresh selection.
I participated in the "Sustainability in Design " Panel discussion with emerging designers Atticus Durnell and Adam Davies at 100%Design 2019 as well as the first Superhood panel organized by Loanhood.
- Design Fresh 2019 Innovation Award at 100%Design
-Jury Prize for the National Geographic channel challenge "Invent the Future" in 2016.
